  • Ohio has a new Booster Seat Law! Children under 8 years old and under 4'9" are now required to ride in booster seats or appropriate child restraints on Ohio roads. For law enforcement, a six month warning period begins on October 7, 2009.

  • New Safe Ride News School Bus Safety Handbook is now available.
    This new, user-friendly handbook serves as a background, reference, and resource guide for school district personnel, child passenger safety technicians, and special needs transportation specialists. If you are a parent, health care professional, school personnel or child passenger safety technician in Ohio, this Web site is for you. The information found here should help you to choose the correct car safety seat for a child even if that child has a special need. You will find guidelines for choosing a car safety seat/restraint, special considerations for children with medical conditions, lists of types of car safety seats available, contacts for qualified help and training opportunities.
