Helping Children Ride Safe

If you are a parent, health care professional, school personnel or child passenger safety technician in Ohio, this Web site is for you. The information found here should help you choose the correct car safety seat for a child even if that child has a special need. You will find guidelines for choosing a car safety seat/restraint, special considerations for children with medical conditions, lists of types of car safety seats available, contacts for qualified help and training opportunities. There is even an online version of our Bus and Van Safety for Children with Special Needs booklet and tutorial as well as a Quiz to test your knowledge.
